When a fire gutted this home in West Des Moines, Premier Construction was brought in to restore it to its former glory.
This family experienced one of the worst things any family can experience. When their house was severely damaged in a fire, it was hard for them to imagine it could be brought back to life.
A shot of the home before we got to work to raise the roof (and the walls).
As you can see, the fire completely gutted this house.
To rebuild and make this house safer, we had to take the walls down and start essentially from scratch.
So much destruction was caused by the fire.
This is a view from the main floor looking down—where the floor should be.
Bringing this house back to life was such a rewarding experience.
Working hard to make sure this home is full of the same character the original had.
The patio (bottom right) stayed put while Premier Construction worked to put the house back together after the fire.
Premier Construction was able to save the existing foundation of this home and subsequently re-build it from the foundation up.
The double doors welcome new life into the home.
A second-story deck will be installed next.
The newly restored home features more windows to let in more sunshine.
