The thought of starting any kind of construction in your home is a big decision. Because a sunroom can allow your home to capture natural light and warmth from the sun, you may actually see your energy bill decrease. The natural light alone can mean you don’t need to use electric lighting in the room even on the grayest Iowa winter day.

The family that plays games together stays together! If you don’t yet have a rec room or area where kids and adults, alike, can come together to play a game of pool, a board game, video games, or otherwise just have fun, a sunroom may be the perfect space. This is also a great room to have when entertaining friends or family from out of town!
Having your own home bar means not having to go out to a crowded bar, spend more money, and deal with cabs afterward. It also means friends and family can come over and enjoy the comfort of being at home with the added benefit of having the fun they’d have at a bar. Plus, with your own home bar, you control the music. Win, win, win.
A small spare bedroom or room in the basement with poor lighting isn’t exactly inviting—especially when it comes to your work space. Even if you just use a corner of your sunroom for your work area, it can work. Just to have a separate and relegated space for your own home office is reason enough to start thinking about adding a sunroom.
